PARADISE NOW
Released 14th April
Paradise Now is a controversial but widely acclaimed 2005 film directed by Hany Abu-Assad about two Palestinian men preparing for a suicide attack in Israel. It won a Golden Globe for best foreign language film and was nominated for an Academy Award . Oscar nominated Paradise Now was the subject of protests in the US because it explores the limited options for young Palestinians from a suicide bomber's point of view. Yet Hany Abu-Assad's film helps us to understand without condoning.
