    Default Understanding the Syrian Conflict

Our (UK/USA) media are showcasing a vast array of disinformation, outdated
news and unverified hearsay taken from the unreliable "Free Syrian Army."
It also illustrates what is known as a media "echo chamber" where it, along
with other prominent Western media outlets cite "activists" on Twitter,
Facebook, and YouTube, who then in turn cite Western news sources, thus
amplifying the effects and reach of fabrications and propaganda.

Syrian state television reports of a fake channel mimicking the State channel
    today.

We can expect now is the Syrians wanting to watch their national TV stations
will see them replaced on their screens by TV programs created by the CIA.
Studio-shot images will show massacres that are blamed on the Syrian
Government, people demonstrating, ministers and generals resigning from
their posts, President Al-Assad fleeing, the rebels gathering in the big city
centres, and a new government installing itself in the presidential palace.

The Arab League has officially asked the satellite operators Arabsat and
Nilesat to stop broadcasting Syrian media, either public or private (Syria TV,
    Al-Ekbariya, Ad-Dounia, Cham TV, etc.)

Several international meetings were organized during the past weeks to
    coordinate the disinformation campaign.

The first meeting assembled PSYOP officers, embedded in the satellite TV
channels of Al-Arabiya, Al-Jazeera, BBC, CNN, Fox, France 24, Future TV
and MTV. It is known that since 1998, the officers of the US Army
Psychological Operations Unit (PSYOP) have been incorporated in CNN.
Since then this practice has been extended by NATO to other strategic
    media as well.

The second meeting was held for engineers and technicians to fabricate
fictitious images, mixing one part in an outdoor studio, the other part with
computer generated images. During the past weeks, studios in Saudi Arabia
have been set up to build replicas of the two presidential palaces in Syria and
the main squares of Damascus, Aleppo and Homs.

The operation has a double intent: the first is to spread false information, the
second aims at censuring all possible responses.

Currently the US State Department, via the "US Institute of Peace" is working
directly with Syrian "opposition" groups to formulate a "government" to put
    into place.

The USIP claims that it is involved in not only "advising" the Western-backed
Libyan government, but that it is also involved in, "constitution making,
transitional justice, women rights" and "education."
The USIP, US government-funded, will also be writing Syria's "constitution" as
well - which they are now calling a "transition strategy document."

The USIP is in fact a direct functionary of the US government, and more
specifically the US State Department, with acting members of the US State

Department, including Michael Posner and members of the US Department of
Defense, including James Miller, serving on the USIP board of directors.

Other compromising BoD members include Amnesty International chairmen
and policy makers drawn from Fortune 500-funded think tanks like the Hoover
    Institution and big-oil's Belfer Center.

To complicate matters further for the so-called "Syrian opposition," prominent
members of the movement, including Radwan Ziadeh, is actually a "senior
fellow" of the US-funded institution - meaning the opposition leaders were
drawn from US institutions, not Syria. The Guardian's article, "The Syrian
opposition: who's doing the talking?" has covered this in depth, illustrating
that Ziadeh's background is the rule, not the exception.

NATO hopes to break the will of Syrians as well as its military which is still
clearly intact despite assassinations and widespread violence. By falsely
portraying Syria as "collapsing," the so-called "Free Syrian Army's" foreign
sponsors may be able to justify more overt intervention on behalf of their so-
    far ineffectual proxies.

By US law, the "NGO" USIP is forbidden to accept any private funding. This
is said to keep it non-partisan. It also means that it is entirely captive of the
State Dept for all its funding, gets all its people from the State Dept, and does
whatever is needed by the State Dept. It is part of the regime change
    machinery of the color revolutions.

Over the past five days Washington and Paris have launched an attack
operation dubbed “Damascus Volcano and Syrian Earthquake."

Within a few days, 40 to 60 000 Contras, mostly Libyans, entered Syria,
most often via the Jordanian border. The majority of them are attached to the
"Syrian" Free Army, a secret operations front for NATO under Turkish
command. Some are affiliated with groups of fanatics, including Al-Qaeda,
under Qatar’s command or factions of the Saudi Royal Family, the Sudairi.

Arabsat and Nilesat had disconnected the Ad-Dunya television signal in the
middle of the afternoon. The Twitter account of Ad-Dounia has been hacked
by the CIA in order to disseminate false messages announcing a retreat of
    the Syrian Army.

Gulf channels have announced a currency collapse prelude to the downfall of
the State. The Governor of the Central Bank, Adib Mayaleh, intervened on
national television to denounce the new disinformation and confirm the
exchange rate of 68.30 Syrian pounds per U.S. dollar.

On Friday, July 20, 2012, around 19:00, signals began to be sent to imbed
new channels onto Arabsat and Nilesat. The signals mimic those of Syrian
television, duplicating both the graphics and logos. For now, the programs
    present patriotic clips.

According to experts, the signals are being sent from Australia, probably from
a U.S. National Security Agency base.

The genuine Syrian television signals were interrupted yesterday by Arabsat
and Nilesat. Their websites were hacked and are inaccessible.

According to the Syrian Arab News Agency, quoted by Ria Novosti, a film
production company has built sets reproducing Syrian cities in Al-Zubayr
(Qatar). False news reports are shot to eventually feed into the bogus TV
channels that are planted on Arabsat and Nilesat.

A large security perimeter has been installed around the studios of Syrian
state television. Umayyad Square is no longer accessible and traffic has been
    diverted.

On June 27, the Free Syrian Army destroyed the studios of the privately
    owned Al-Akbariya.

July 20 a Syrian television presenter, Mohammed Saeed was abducted in
    Damascus by the FSA.

The U.S. launched an operation planned a long time ago against Syria.

First, through its regional allies, and then directly, they have introduced armed bands, modelled on the Contras in Nicaragua, that have destabilized the country.

They found only very weak domestic support and were routed while Russia and China prevented NATO destroying the Syrian army ..

In fact, the "Arab Spring" is false advertising. Now, Morocco, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, and Gaza are governed by a brotherhood, that is to say the interests of Israel and the Anglo-Americans.

The illusion was dispelled and now we have the derided "NATO spring".

The Free Syrian Army fighters champions of democracy. They recognize the spiritual authority of sheikh Adnan Alrour, a takfirist preacher, who calls for the overthrow and killing of Assad, not for political reasons but simply because Assad is of the Alawite faith, that is to say an heretic in the preachers eyes.

All of the identified officers in the FSA are Sunnis and all of the FSA brigades are named after historical Sunni figures.

The "revolutionary tribunals" of the FSA sentence their political opponents to death (and not only supporters of Bashar al-Assad) and they slaughter the unbelievers in public.

The FSA program is to end the secular regime installed by the Baath, the SSNP and the Communist Party in favor of a pure religious Sunni regime.

The decision to go to war with Syria was made by President George W. Bush at a Camp David meeting on September 15, 2001, just after 9/11. This decision was corroborated by the testimony of General Wesley Clark.

In the wake of the fall of Baghdad, in 2003, Congress passed two laws instructing the President of the United States to prepare wars against Libya and Syria (the Syria Accountability Act).

In 2004, Washington accused Syria of harbouring the weapons of mass destruction that could not be found in Iraq. This accusation fizzled when it was admitted that the weapons never existed and were but a pretext for invading Iraq.

In 2004, Washington accused Syria of harbouring the weapons of mass destruction that could not be found in Iraq. This accusation fizzled when it was admitted that the weapons never existed and were but a pretext for invading Iraq.

In 2006, the U.S. began to prepare the "Syrian revolution" by creating the Syria Democracy Program. The idea was to create and fund pro-Western opposition groups

In 2008, during NATO’s annual Bilderberg Group meeting, the Director of the Arab Reform Initiative, Bassma Kodmani, and the director of the Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik, Volker Perthes, demonstrated briefly to the Euro-American Gotha the economic, political and military benefits of possible intervention by the Alliance in Syria.

In 2009, the CIA set up tools of propaganda destined for Syria such as the BaradaTV channel, based in London, and Dubai-based OrientTV.

A meeting was held in Cairo, the second week of February 2011, around John McCain, Joe Lieberman and Bernard-Henry Levy, figures like Mahmoud Jibril Libya (then number two in the Libyan Jamahiriya government) and Syrian personalities like Malik al-Abdeh and Ammar Qurabi.

It was this meeting that gave the signal for covert operations that began in both Libya and Syria (February 15th in Benghazi and 17th in Damascus).

In January 2012, the U.S. Departments of State and Defense formed the Task Force named The Day After: Supporting a democratic transition in Syria, which drafted both a new constitution for Syria and a governance program.

professionals who fought in Afghanistan, Bosnia, Chechnya or Iraq started pouring in. At the head of these are the men of Al Qaeda in Libya, led by Abdelhakim Belhaj in person [6] The media present them as jihadists, which is inappropriate, Islam not conceiving of holy war against fellow Muslims. These are primarily mercenaries. These have been richly funded by Wahhabi monarchies (Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Sharjjah).

Armed groups use the flag of the French mandate which remained in force during the country’s formal independence (1932-1958).

Over the 18 months of armed action, these armed groups structured and more or less coordinated themselves.

As it stands, the vast majority have come under Turkish command, under the label of Free Syrian Army. In fact, they have become auxiliaries of NATO their headquarters is even located on the NATO air base at Incirlik.

Hard core Islamists have formed their own organizations or have joined al-Qaida. They are under the control of Qatar or of the Sudeiri branch of the Saudi royal family . They are de facto attached to the CIA.

    Yeah, right.
actually it wasnt. and i did not make any claims.

frankly why does it bother you more than the politics of the war? ?

    ANYWAY :

There are reports of Libyan chemical weapons being taken into Syria via Turkey with caches discovered in Damascus.

This may point to possible false flag .

The Guardian has reported that Libya possessed some "25 metric tonnes of bulk mustard agent and 1,400 metric tonnes of precursor chemical used to make chemical weapons."

    The Guardian has also reported:

"The abandonment or disappearance of some Gaddafi-era weapons has prompted concerns that such firepower could erode regional security if it falls into the hands of Islamist militants or rebels active in north Africa. "

Militants with stolen chemical weapons is entirely possible, as is the possibility that these weapons were placed into their hands by either NATO or Libya's current ruling regime.

This very scenario was warned against last month in an article published by Russia Today titled, "Syrian rebels aim to use chemical weapons, blame Damascus – report." - http://www.rt.com/news/syria-chemical-weapons-plot-532/

My own opinion is that it is all very well for us in he west to sit back and say wouldn't it be nice if region xx had democracy.

But given the people that live in these regions are unlikely to have much peace and stability, nor in all probability democracy, for some time to come the gain is in no way worth the loss.

The CIA/Mossad are I suspect the main beneficiaries. EG who can now supply Hezbollah?

Re the human rights abuses. Pretty awful obviously. But I am always doubtful of intimations that there is one good and one bad side.

Glad to see you made it out okay, I think PMs have been disabled, but I'd be really interested in hearing an informed view as to what's going on in Syria at the moment....I have a feeling the opposition to the government is being backed by us in the west with more than just vocal support.
