I was reading about whether this demonstration was going to cause disruption to local services, but a huge amount of money spent policing these tools though. I'm surprised they didn't end up attacking the police, as they normally do as they don't have anyone to fight with.

    This tells a long story.

    Who and what?

Young men with the odd brainless slapper.
The men are pretty much all skins or the sort of idiot would avoid if you saw them on the street regardless of if there was an EDL riot at the time or not.

The gloved, double 'flag' from the idiot in the middle shows their general state.

Attacking police says a lot about their claimed interest in law and order

The worst is that pathetic, home made, cardboard sign saying, "Dictating Islamists run Labour party".
Didn't some bloke called Breivik say something similar?
Of course, the EDL want nothing to do with people like him - they said so.

But that police van is going the wrong way down a one way street - I hope the officer concerned gets charged with a driving offence.

The normal rules of the road do not apply to the fuzz in pressure situations.
