Default Iranians were taking picture in NY!! - AP

Iranians were taking picture from the landmarks in NY on 2005 and it creates worries on 2012!!! The level of propaganda is worryingly ridiculous and it is AP!!

    -------------------------------

    EILEEN SULLIVAN, Associated Press

WASHINGTON (AP) — A senior New York Police Department official says law enforcement has interviewed at least 13 people since 2005 with ties to Iran's government who were seen taking pictures of New York City landmarks. Police consider the activity to be pre-operational surveillance.
Mitchell Silber, the NYPD's director of intelligence analysis, told Congress that New York's international significance as a terror target and its large Jewish population make the city a likely place for Iran or its proxy terrorist group, Hezbollah, to strike.
Silber says the 13 people interviewed by law enforcement were ultimately released.
U.S. officials long have worried that Iran would use Hezbollah to carry out attacks inside the United States. The concerns have grown in recent months as tensions between the U.S. and Iran escalate.

Well to be fair pictures of landmarks taken at any given time time could be used years later as they don't move except in the case of the twin towers, though that operation was claimed to be carried out by Arab terrorists.

US satellite images of Iran passed onto to Saddam in the 80's caused countless Iranian deaths. Current images taken by US satellites will no doubt cause many more.

Are the yanks really as stupid as they are paranoid?

    Grand Central station.

Google will get you all the pictures you need without having to send any "Islamic spies" anywhere.
    Perhaps one more image.

Sorry that doesn't make sense. If the object itself was important then there are a thousands version of landmark pictures from different angles available online!!! Why bothering sending a person to take a picture of it!

Of course to mention that the Jewish lobby drives US politics and that the media is pro Israel too is supposedly anti semitic. Israel needs enemies it exists on victimhood it needs war but not where its own sons and daughters might get hurt it wants US and UK and EU and NATO to fight on its behalf and so far they have done exactly that.

Perhaps you could explain who said that.

How lucky would you have to be to find a picture online of the exact place needed to place a bomb to cause the maximum destruction?
Pictures online are just snapshots really.
Please note that not for one minute do I believe that these Iranians were up to no good.

See my pic of grand central station (above).
No rubbish bins to hide a bomb but you can see exactly where the majority of people are.
A dry run or two would confirm the busiest times and what security is in place to stop you getting explosives in there.
That gives you enough info to drop a bag and quietly walk away or push the button if you happen to be a suicide bomber.
That's what makes the story even dafter than it seems.
Minimum research would give you easily enough information without having to bother about a photo.

When to bomb, that's easy as well.

    General population for maximum headlines?

A nice crowd and a great overview showing potential sniper positions of all the best places to drop a bomb.
Imagine the headlines for disrupting that with a rifle and a few rounds fired from a rented office.
You could take aim at the military section of the parade so no civilian casualties caused by you. Loads in the stampede of course.

That took about 30 seconds so its pretty rough but it shows exactly how pointless it would be for a potential terrorist to expose himself (In a non flasher sort of way) by taking photos of his targets.
We aren't talking about a seriously targeted attack; more carnage to grab headlines. Not that hard to do if the attackers aren't worried about getting out alive.

Ner. The US is guilty of serious paranoia while the guys with cameras were probably just tourists.

It looks so much like laying the ground work for a false flag operation. Did Hezbollah ever make any attacks outside of Lebanon.

That's a possibility but I'd just go with simple paranoia or a handy way of keeping terrorists in the news.
