He was only 30, no age to go from a heart attack.
Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un.

He has also been mentioned in the Telegraph & Argus
I actually met this brother, and spoke to him and he was the kindest most caring person.
I had a conversation with him about Muslim's, a majority of which would display signs of apathy by saying "Nothing we do will ever work, politics does not work, oppression will never go away"
And this brother taught me this one fact, which I found mind blowing. In reply to me he said "Noah preaced for 950 years and only gained 50 followers", but Muslims today are too quick to give up, even before trying. This is a sign of ones true Iman I think.
From Him we come and to Him we return.
As sad as it is to see someone so young and dedicated to doing good unselfishly- to use the term MARTYR is a little over the top IMO.
There are around 7 or so specific cases where Prophet (saw) mentioned that the person would be a martyr- we need to be careful just labeling who we want with this.

His janazah is today in Bradford.
The Janaza of late Br Abu-Bakr is today (22nd March) at Masjd ahl-al Hadith.
Opposite the Salafi Bookstore of Lumb Lane, after Magrib (around 6.15 pm)

I agree.
MPACUK have always thought leafleting is jihad though.
And you can't really claim someone as a martyr, because we don't know their intention.
Like the man who the sahabah said was in jannah, but RasoolAllah said that he was in jahannam because of the cloak he stole from the war booty of Khaybar.
This is nothing to do with the brother and his death, but my comments relate to MPACUK trying to make it into something it was not, to get themselves some publicity.

Open a thread about the topic that is 'Political Jihad'. Abubakr Rauf was a member of MPACUK. And MPACUK clearly states that they are engaged in Political Jihad.
Open another separate thread on Shahid's and I shall contribute and prove that you wrong. Inshallah.
Meanwhile...please try to remember this dead brother.

If you feel I am wrong and your intention is to arrive at the truth, rather than prove me wrong then you can open a thread.
MPACUK is getting a bit desperate if they have to rely on people who have died to promote their idea of 'political jihad'.
I did comment on the sad situation of his death- you're the one (@ Blueprint)who is making it out he is a shaheed. Let ALLAH be the judge of that. And no, I am not interested in opening a new thread to discuss it.
I'm happy in my knowledge from Muhammad (saaw) as to who he classed as the shaheed.

Stop whining and move on.

before this further derails from remembrance towards petty argument, here's an alternative thread to discuss the jihad and martyrdom issue:
http://forum.mpacuk.org/showthread.p...olitical-Jihad

from the link posted previously:
now this was someone who could be called a role model for muslim youth - hopefully his example will inspire more to follow in his footsteps.Mr Rauf was a founder member of Respect in 2004. Born in Bradford, he unsuccessfully stood in Heaton ward in the 2010 Bradford Council elections. At that time, he had described himself as the candidate who truly represented the ordinary person.

thing tho his kind of jihad wont get seen
but the press will print mohamed merahs jihad now and say this is what jihad means
i feel bad for muslims

ok sorry nasman
May Allah forgive the brother. May Allah make his grave a garden of paradise. May Allah elevate his status. May Allah accept his good deeds. May Allah enter the brother in the highest abode of jannah without reckoning and give him his book of deeds in his right hand. Ameen.

Wallahi, if you have nothing good to say about a brother that has passed away then it's better to keep silent.
