Did I hear that correctly? At about 3:40 into the interview he said Hamas fired Phosphorus at Israel?

That's quite a delusion he has.

Presumably they isolated the phosphorus from minerals themselves, assembled artillery capable of delivering it and stuff all right in the middle of the blockade... :roll:

Do these Israeli spokesmen and women go to the internationally renowned "I-will-lie-thru-my-teeth-and-have-my-say" school of performing interviews.

Ragev has appeared on most TV channels, other presenters accept his version of the events without much question. But Jon Snow doesn't want to be spoon fed and this seems to rattle Ragevs cage a bit cos he definately raises his voice quite a bit during this interview. I guess he was expecting the discussion to go his way (as per usual).

Where did the "Hamas have fired phosphorus weapons" come from. Israeli spokespeople should take their show on the road if they are able to pull rabbits out of their hats like that - ideally wearing a clowns outfit.

Ragev should also have added, there are WMDs hidden in the cellars of the Hamas headquaters for dramatic effect and ten bonus points.

I'm sure his nose was a few centimeters longer by the end of the clip. He will be on SKY soon in the "worst jobs in the world" show.

MOre interesting was the way this Israeli has been complaining all week about Hamas being in civilian areas and then all of a sudden, tries to make out that these areas are military areas - because he is rattled about the accusation of illegal use of the phosporous and other weapons in civilian areas. Either they are civilian areas, or they are not. Can't have it both ways.

He also constantly refers to what "other" democratic "western"countries do. This is irrelevant on two counts, one of which is that we are talking about what Israel does, not what other countries do,and secondly because Israel, although it does has voting, does not have equal rights for its citizens and therefore hardly qualifies as "democratic", its latest wheeze being to ban two Israeli- Arab political parties from the upcoming Israel elections while conducting the blitz on Gaza.

The number of things he began to claim are "well documented" (AFTER the Israelis withdrew?), is also quite remarkable - a sign of his panic.

He mentioned that after Hamas was elected, it took over. Oh dear oh dear. Just watch him twisting and turning like a snake in a corner. Keep at it Jon, you are wearing him down. Truth will out.
