as if afghan troops are any match to the pakistani forces or the the locals so it must be a call to arms on behalf of nato with more cross border drones killing innocents in the tribal area on saturday the conflict can only get worse.

one thing any good general or leader knows is that never unite an enemy. NATO and YANKS are hanging on by a thread already, and without the full backing of the Pakistani military or ISI to the taliban. Some rouge elements are chipping helping them. So what you want to do is now not to test a nations sovereignty and uniting the pakistani military and the ISI into fully backing the taliban on the sly???? The same team that fought the russians!!

the reality in afghanistan is quite different, karzai and the foreign armies are losing, the best estimates for a withdrawal is no less than 40 to 50 years, and would only bring us to a level of control that pakistan has at the moment! - that also means our government will be costing you billions in maintaining that level of armed support/logistics. the fact is since 2001 there has not been any victory for nato nor the usa-uk alliance. the reports are that the taliban (90% of whom are from inside of afghanistan and fight from inside of afghanistan) are readying to take control of kandahar, kind of lends a lie to the claims of successes by uk-usa alliance. and this despite the supposed best technology and best professionals in the world.
