City Sisters

Assalaamu alikum,

I've been watching this program on Islam channel for the last few weeks and i have really enjoyed it. It is called City Sisters and it's a programe basically about living in the city.

It's pretty cool too.

5 sisters present it. all of them crazy muslimahs

There is also a section where it shows u creative stuff e.g. caligraphy. The sisters also explore london looking for things to buy related to the topic on discussion and then this is then the prize in the compation. (hard questions)

1st episord was about hijaab. the sisters experiances of wearing hijaab the first time and also tips on wearing hijaab.

2nd epirsord was about finding a marriage parterner.

i still need to watch this weeks episord.

so hu else watches it!!!

I watched a few mins of it once, but I got bored and turned it off...

What a pile of self righteous crap, for just two immediate reasons i can think of:

1. Why are they desperate in theme to mimick "Sex in the City", just watch the program ad !!!
2. They keep worrying about men seeing them, for [Language] sake your on TV you stupid ignorant women.

If this is Islamic TV, then we are truly lost.

I just read the 1st post again and laughed, the 1st program was about Hijaab, wear one to cover yourself and talk self righteous crap, then lay on the make-up with some scaffolding on parade around on TV for everyone to see.

I recall one episode, on the other crap series "Muslimah Dilemah", where one sister panicked as some non-Mahram brother may see her, i thought what the [Language], your one TV with dollops of make-up acting like a giggling tart !!!

I have'nt watched it, but from the responses above it looks like its an emotive program, so if you dont like it, email islam channel, or just dont watch, simple as.

I don't watch the show or islam channel much, sounds like it has a female audience in mind. But nice to see Islam channel diversifying the program offerings away from just phone-ins and the news.

I don't watch the sisters programmes so I haven't got a clue what goes on there, love the fiqh hour with the shayuuk,anyways thats 2 my cents right there......
