As far as biryanis go, no one makes it better than the South African Indian Gujis.

Ive heard that Gujis make the best biryani -
(but punjabis make the best chappatis

    Everyone have a great Eid!!!!

Yes the main word of Biryani is Persian. But Beryani is an very old Esfahani dish and I'm sureit is different from your Beryani. I wanted to know about Asian Beryanis.

    Eid Mubarak everybody!
Including those who have Eid on Friday. We are ALL brothers and sisters in Islam, and all the other people are our brothers and sisters as human beings, whether we like this or not.

I am off to feed the ducks and decided to use fesh bread, because it is Eid. I've also got to buy some peanuts because a little boy has given me a bird feeder he made, as my Eid present.

Allahummah our Dear Lord, help us to help each other so that we all have enough to eat, and please show us how not to be greedy. And teach us the true meaning of sacrifice. Amin.
