    Default Shopping.

    salaams

This one is for the sisters (obviously, since any decent God fearing man knows how closely linked shopping is with Jihad, both force you to withhold from hurting ppl)

I need to know which common and well known high street shops and labels you would buy clothes from. Which would you consider best for practising Muslimahs??

This does not mean u need to conduct any "research".

Outsider is a male apparently, that's why I asked why he was enquiring about shoes and handbags??

JB, I work right in the city centre and I've never went into Primark. Think it's the crowd that puts me off! But yep, I've noticed some nice tops there though. But I lurve Debenhams ground floor (esp Kookai, Warehouse and Oasis). It's hard to find full-sleeved loose, stylish tops but they stock some decent ones. All the shops in King Street is quite good.
Monson is really good for decent clothes that cover the whole body.

    Office is great for shoes.

    Accessorize is great for.... accessories!

    I know that's why i went hysterical!

I had this vision of a brother in a pink skirt, hairy legs and gorgeous white heels! AHAAAAAAAAAA HAAAAAAAAAA

Primark is dirt-cheap, can't beat that! Debenhams have some really nice stuff too but expensive. *sigh*
However my favourite has to be Miss Selfridges (well second to Primark of course.... )

Never go shopping with a woman:
They will take hours in deciding on which pair of shoes to buy
They take hours trying on all the outfits 10 times
Spend half their time talking about the dress/shoes/accessories
When they finally buy something as soon as they get home they will say 'why did I buy this the other one was better'

just go to ebay and order something from their - that is what I do, when buying any present for my sisters!

I don't think females enjoy taking men shopping with them either.

Unless we're really P*ssed at them!

Rahim: Stop complaining. How would you like it if your wife (inshallah) never went shopping and wore the same outfit day in day out?!

The ones I find that are good for long sleeves and loose stuff are:

    Dorothy Perkins,
    New Look
    Debenhams
    H & M
    Walice
    Monsoon and possibly Zara.

BODYSHOP!!!! (for sensitive skin and environmentally friendly can't ask for much more!)

    BORJOUIS eyeshadaows are gorgeous.

MAC would be the winner if it wasn't so darn expensive...

I like MAC and Bobbi Brown. And Clinique. Ahh, the cost of looking beautiful

Don't worry JB, once you're on your junior docs salary you won't need to worry about the expense.

Oooh, one more thing - I remember asking this ages ago, but can't find the thread now.. what kind of make-up can we wear whilst we're in a state of wudu? I'm not talking about the whole paste and camaouflage business. More like tinted moisturiser? mascara?

Yep I like collecting them for that 'special' day that never comes. But not too keen on wasting my mornings painting my face for work.

Inshallah, i've promised myself not to spend anymore until I go online and give away all my bank interest money to charity.
