Would the prophet (saw) vote for these kaffir political parties?
I DONT THINK SO! :nono:
So why should we!!
Lib Dems are going to legalise brothels!
Labour is going to increase spending on war on muslims!
Tories are going to introduce more gay rights!
Respect are calling for socialism which denies existance of Allah!
The prophet would rather have worked for the change via islamic politics.
Politics is not limited in islam to just putting your vote through the ballot box, rather it is about engaging in forbidding the evil and enjoining the good, which we must do every day of our lives!!!!

First of all we are not living in Muslim country
Secondly if we do not participate, and remember it has only been by participation that Muslim have got the few scarps that they have managed. More than they would have had they been living in a ISLAMIC country.
Ironically it mainly has been the Communist/ Socialist element that have fought more for Muslim rights than any other political movement in the UK. FACT.
I have no problems with Muslims not participating in politics, then these Muslims should stop whining and taking benefits of this Kuffir system, which they find so obnoxious, that they prefer living in this country. And they seek the protection of the very laws that this country offers. If one looks at HT members living Pakistan, who send there wives to the UK to give birth, so as to make sure not only they are UK citizens but at the same time seek child benefits, so that they can revive the monies.:D::D
Its laws, its education, its Hospitals, its state benefits and host of million other things are paid by taxation raising money from Alcohol etc. This some how becomes halal for HT and Co.
I find it fascinating the very people who condemn the political system in this country, are the very people particularly in the membership of HT and Co, who are knee deep in taking all these Kufar benifits:D I know a number of Muslims who are HT member’s, unemployed. They prefer seeking unemployment benefits, than earning Halal income. Then this is not haram.
But then miraculously there are reasons as to why they are Halal. I would love an explanation of that.

Do you know better than all the scholars that encourage and even consider political participation to be 'farz'? Answers pls... your little rant hasnt convinced anyone. We've already been through this on another thread.

And whose fault is it Cool dude that the political parties are legalising brothels and so on? Is it not ppl like you who discourage muslims from political participation?
If you and other muslims would have been involved in party politics earlier on, "engaging in forbidding the evil and enjoining the good" as you say, don't you think there would have been less of a chance of the parties adopting such policies? How do you expect your views to be taken into account by the parties if you are not willing to participate in the political system and make your voice heard?
And what exactly do you mean by islamic politic if it's not what I have described above?

Asalamu-alaikum
What you refered to is kufr politics. Islamic politics is not just confined to putting your vote through the ballot box. and then sitting back for next couple of years. Politics is defined as taking care of the affairs of the people, so when you earn money and feed your family, that is politics as you are taking care of the affairs of the family. Just like that on a wider scale, we try to take care of the affairs of the muslims in our community. So just like when you earn money to take care of the affairs of your family in a HALAL way, you must also take care of the affairs of the muslims in our community in a HALAL way. You know i wish it was halal to participate in Kufr politics, but sad fact is that its not, so i will avoid it and i will advise you to avoid it too. Islam is not shallow, where we have to join their parties to bring about change, we can do this externally, just like our beloved Prophet(saw) did in Makkah and Medina, he never joined the mainstream political process, rather he condemned it and challenged it externally.
Hope that answers you queries.

Correction:
'no, voting is haram?'
as far as i understand, Voting itself is not haram, but voting for kuffar / Muslims who only want your vote to get the position and does rule by Islam is Haram.
Correction: So, voting for non-Islam / partial Islam is Haram.
"and those who do not rule by what Allah has revealed, they are disbelievers". (TMQ 5:44)
"Surely, in the Messenger of Allah, is the best example for those who believe in Allah and the Last Day and remember Allah often." [TMQ 33:21]
"Whatever the Messenger gives you take it, and whatever he forbids you abstain from it." (TMQ 59:7]
"Verily, those who disbelieve in Allah and His Messengers wish to make
distinction between Allah and His Messengers (by believing in Allah and disbelieving in His Messengers) saying, 'we believe in some but reject others,' and wish to adopt a way in between. They are in truth disbelievers. And We have prepared for the disbelievers a humiliating torment" [TMQ An-Nisa: 150-151].
"....Then do you believe in a part of the Scripture and reject the rest? Then what is the recompense of those who do so among you, except disgrace in the life of this world, and on the Day of Resurrection they shall be consigned to the most grievous tormen...."[TMQ Al-Baqarah: 85].
"And so govern among them by that which Allah has revealed?" [TMQ
Al-Mai?dah: 49].
I can show you even more daleel.........
So, voting for non-Islam / partial Islam is Haram.

I'm not voting for any of these parties. It doesnt matter how many Muslim MP's run or if my local MP was Muslim I still wouldnt vote for them.
The prophet (saw) was offered the leadership from the Quraish but he declined as this wasnt political Islam. Just like taking part in the Genral Election isnt political Islam. Just as voting in the bogus elections in the Islamic World is also not political Islam.
Just because the Zionists who are secular have embraced secular politics in does not mean we should join them. I hear MP's say "Muslims must accept our political culture" but why should we. Many of us believe this means comprimising on our religion and we cant do that, Just cos some MP says we should means nothing!!!
Or we have the Mosques hat ban politics but invite the local MP to the Mosque. It's crazy!!!
