The following verses, known as The Opening, the first Chapter from the Holy Quran, is recited every time a Muslim stands in prayer. The actual prayer is done in Arabic, but here only the translation is given.

THE OPENING CHAPTER
OF THE HOLY QURAN

In the name of Allah (God), The Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.
All praise belongs to Allah, the Lord (Who is the Creator, Sustainer and Guide) of all the worlds.
The Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful; Sovereign of the Day of Judgment.
Thee (alone) do we worship, And from thee (alone) we seek help.
Show us the straight Path, The Path of those (who fear Allah) and on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy blessings.
Not of those (committing wrongs deliberately) On whom Thou art angry, nor of those who (Having wrong opinions) go astray. Ameen

Even if a person claims to be Muslim, but they worship and pray to other than Almighty God, this cancels and nullifies their Islam. The Declaration of Faith of Islam makes it clear that Muslims are taught only to worship God. This declaration is as follows: "There is nothing divine or worthy of being worshipped except for Almighty God, and Muhammad is the Messenger and Servant of God".

In the same context as we mention other prophets.

The way we mention other Prophets is by asking Allah to send peace and praises upon them. You can do it with Isa (AS) too...

In the the daily obligatory prayers, we recite Surah al-Hamd in the first and second Rak'ats, and thereafter recite one complete Surah. Commonly Surah Qul is treated as one Surah in Namaz. Surah Qul somewhat relates to Jesus pbuh. The translation of it is as follows:

Say: He is Allah, the only one.
Allah helps and does not need help.
He does not produce a child, and He was not born of anyone.
There is no one equal to Him.

LOL, you want me to provide a source for doing something Halaal? I dont think I can. By sending peace of Isa (AS), you have done nothing sinful, and if anyone says you have, ask them for a source, not me... :D

And Mr Farroq, the Surah is called Ikhlas, not Qul...

:)

In the the daily obligatory prayers, we recite Surah al-Hamd ....

Its not called Surah al-Hamd, its called Surat Al-Fatiha.

watchthevid, are you talking about a prayer for the prophet Jesus PBUH, or to?

Because you do realise you cannot ask Jesus AS for help, or worship, but if you mean can you send them salaam, as we do for our Prophet PBUH, then my answer is, don't we do that already when we say Alahe salaam?

Do you possibly mean some sort of Darood?

Sorry for the questions, but I did not understand your post.

Erm, when pheonix says to, she means to him, asking for help, or praying to him, you cant do that, that is haraam...

You can pray for Isa (AS), ask Allah to send peace and blessings upon him...

Salaam WTV,

I don't know if this helps,

“Behold! the angels said: ‘O Mary! Allah giveth Thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, held in honor in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to Allah.” (Al `Imran: 45)

I realise it doesn't say that we can offer prayers for Hazrat Isa (AS) but is does highlight his standing
