New mosque - Your suggestions

My local masjid is re-building the masjid. They are asking for suggestions with regards to design and facilities. What design considerations would you take into account if you could build a brand new purpose built masjid?

Women's area of course goes without saying!

A separate place where mums can give their children snacks so that they don't mash biscuits and crisps into the prayer hall carpet and a strict no food rule in the prayer hall.

A kind of reception area or office which is easy to find for those who come and need information.

Biggest and most important issue the mosque has to be CLEAN. This is the biggest failing of London Central Mosque such a shame on us muslims to show people around that mosque with the terrible state it is in.
