Salams
i have noticed recently an increase in posting links to websites that are against islam
I have also noticed the arrival of a certain type of member who claims to know nothing about Islam, who wishes to know is Islam really barbaric, sexist etc, could members explain his sura and that sura giving out a whole list of out of context and often misquoted lines from the Holy Qu'ran.
Please be aware that wolves in sheeps clothing are NOT welcome on the forum and such members who are here to spread hate, promote blantant anti islamic sites, or spread their faith are not welcome and there membership to the forum will quickly be removed.
So my message is a simple one...
This is the Muslim Public Affairs Committee Public Forum.
Its is open to all, and everyone from any faith or belif system is welcome to discuss the aims of MPAC.
What it is not is the "Defend the Islamic Faith" forum and forum members who are considered by the moderators to be intentionally promoting islamaphobic views, either covertly or blantly will be rooted out and banned.
So if you fall into this category, please dont waste your time or our time.
Your links will be removed, your post will be deleted and your forum membership revoked.
Having siad this there is a thin line between the forumer who genuinally wishes to learn about islam or defeat there mis conceptions about islam and i would like to suggest such forumers to consider their source of information. Where did you get this negative misconception from? Did the website that claimed islam was sexist have a secret agenda? Was it promoting another religion? Was it from an openly anti-islamic site? Did it only write about (false) negatives, did it promote islam in any way?
The sad truth is if your source islamic education was website that said NOTHING positive about islam then you are probably being manipulated by anti-islamic hate monger. And you should search for your answers to your question from alternative sources before making your mind up.
A good starting place for the answers to your questions is
www.islamonline.net
for those not so hot with google
if you type this into the google search box
******** site:islamonline.net and replace the stars with your query e.g.
islam jesus site:islamonline.net
(http://www.google.co.uk/search?official&q=islam+jesus+site%3Aislamonline.net)
you should be able to find the answers you require
Good luck to everyone searching for the truth

The only information I had on Islam was from Christian sources which was why I came here. While yes you can find information on the internet, which is easier to search or ask someone that is Muslim ?
Surely if a person is properly grounded in his/her faith asking questions will not make any difference. I have been pointed to a number of websites which promote hate towards Christians. Many posts on this forum would suggest hatred of Christians. This portion of one such post made by Shazan displays pure hatred. The post is still there with link included despite my having complained about it to admin and a moderator. I am pleased to report that the moderator did make a comment on the post.
We will kidnap your children
And cut off their hair.
Silence their language
And outlaw their prayers,
Beat them blind until they believe.
In the blood of Jesus Christ our king.
Christians murdered Indians
I often think about secret agendas on anti Christian websites I'm pointed too. Did it only speak (false) negative , was it promoting another religion etc. Maybe its not just Christians that need to think before posting Anti-Islamic website links.
What is wrong with asking an opinion of what was seen at a specific website ? Are you afraid it may turn you from your faith ? If so then maybe you need to get more deeply grounded in your faith. For us Christians there are many courses to help get grounded in faith , do Muslims have something similar ?

Why do you have a comparitive religion section or an about Islam section (to ask any question you have about Islam). What does this have to do with aims of MPAC ?

WHat iw astrying to say was alot of ppl come here and claim they no nothing of islam
or can they explain this ir that
then use quotes that are blantly from anti-islamic sites
so they are not as innocent as they would like us to believe
and if they are that innocent and just the unluckiest searcher on the internet i
and just pointing them in the direction of a reutatable website that can dedicated to answering such questions
the about islam and comparetive religion forums on this site are here for us to talk about these topics with muslim and non muslim, civilally, with an open mind.. (on both parts)
but are not here as an excuse for people parading as inncocent ignorant learners to post hate sites and hate topics that totally disrepect islam.

It is a shame that the forum seems to be getting hijacked by blasphemous Evangelicals with ulterior motives and pre set agendas (not only you we have been getting more).
You should read the websites Veritas posts links to.
The worst anti Muslim hatred I have ever seen.
One site he posted a link to had a story on it which claimed Lebanon has been cleansed of Christians by foreign Muslims in the 80's and that Muslims had pulled babies apart with rope as a technique for torture.
That’s not even revisionist history, that’s just plain lying.

It was a story on a link you posted in this thread concerning beheading:

When the Moslems and Palestinians declared Jihad on the Christians in 1975 we didn't even know what that word meant. We had taken them into our country, allowed them to study side by side with us, in our schools and universities. We gave them jobs, shared with them our way of life. We didn't realize the depth of their hatred to us as infidels. They looked at us as the enemy not as neighbors, friends, employers and colleagues.
A lot of Muslims pored in from other Muslim countries like Iran -- the founder and supporter of Hezbollah, one of the leading terrorist organizations in the world today. They came from Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Jordan and Egypt. The Lebanese civil war was not between the Lebanese, it was a holly war declared on the Christians by the Muslims of the Middle East.
They started massacring the Christians, city after city. Horrific events the western media seldom reported. One of the most ghastly acts was the massacre in the Christian City of Damour where thousands of Christians were slaughtered like sheep. The Muslims would enter a bomb shelter, see a mother and a father hiding with a little baby. They would tie one leg of the baby to the mother and one leg to the father and pulled the parents apart splitting the child in half. A close friend of mine was mentally disturbed because they made her slaughter her own son in a chair. They tied her to a chair, tied a knife to her hand and holding her hand forcing her to cut her own son’s throat. They would urinate and defecate on the altars of churches using the pages of the bible as toilet paper. They did so many things I don't need to go into any more detail. You get the picture

It was on the frontpage of the site a few days ago.
It has now been moved.
Now they have some other hatred on the frontpage.
Although they now have another interesting story on the front page of their site.

I came across that site while looking for something else. It stated that beheading the infidel was Islamic. So I asked a question to the forum asking if it really was Islamic. Sorry if you find my line of questioning offensive, I just wanted to know the truth.

How many sites with hateful articles is it humanly possible to accidentally stumble across?
You never seem to stumble across anything positive concerning Islam.
But then again it depends which sites you are searching and what you are looking for in particular.

Islam is intolerant and incompatible with all other religions
Saddam Hussein is a terrorist whose country has a long history of being associated with evil.
Don’t be fooled by the "tolerant" face of Muslims you meet in the civilized world today. Islam has historically developed in four stages: 1. Evangelism. 2. Consolidation of power. 3. Revolution 4. Islamic State. Muslims would love to see Canada and the USA become Islamic states but are only at stage one: Evangelism! Islam has not changed its methods since Muhammad 1400 years ago. Muslims are tolerant, when they are powerless, but this veneer of toleration evaporates when an Islamic state is formed.
Whether Salman Rushdie or Jerry Falwell, the religion of Islam was designed by Muhammad to kill those who criticize it.
Why Islam is not to be trusted in the civilized world.
Muslims in the west who deny Islam is a militant religion at its core, are denying the original message of Muhammad and his Koran.

I think I only used this to illustrate 32 reasons why the Gospel of Barnabas is a fake. Like Manchester Teen you do not type the complete url or in Teen's case put a link that doesn't have any relavence to the one I posted.

I'll post more articles on contradiction in the Bible, which proves that many of the scriptures are bogus and forever lost. It just goes to show if the Gospel of Barnabas is a fake then what other gospels in the bible are?

You are entitled to post what you like. None of your poison will get deleted. You won't get banned for "offending" people of a different faith.
If the MPAC forum is an organisation that welcomes members of other faiths (as sunlight said in her post) then maybe you should also refrain from making posts that some members may find offensive.

The only some members is you, and the post will only highlight the clear contradictions which proves why Islam is the fastest growing religion and besides my post don’t represent Mpac views- just some food for thought the post won’t offend Isa (pbuh). If only you could have listened to your own advice and abstained from making offensive post about Islam-!!
