salaam
I cant believe this guy has been selected for "man of the year" in this years times magazine. The article for or even edition has not been published yet but my sources have it that the reason they selected him.... well their justification for this idtiotic selection was because Bush stuck to his guns.
:headache:
I mean couldnt they have chosen anyone better??????????????????????????
Any Times magazine suscribers here wish to comment???

I know - imagine it; 6 billion people on this planet, and they had to pick him! All this rubbish about how he 'matured as a leader after 9/11' - its simply not true! The man is as much a self serving idiot as ever. Pah.
ma asalaamah and take care

The Times man of the year does not mean that they consider Bush to be the best person for the year 2004.
It is a fact of life that individuals that commit evil of serious magnitude have a great influence on world affairs. The Time's annual "Man of the Year" selection is simply an acknowledgement of the person they perceive to have been that year's most influential person, whatever the nature of that influence. Some of Time's previous "Man of the Year" were Ayatullah Khomeini :D (we all know how much the Yanks love Ayatullah Khomeini:D) and even Hitler has been awarded the Man of the Year award. In 2001, guess what, even Osama Bin Laden was considered, after facing a serious backlash, Osama Bin Laden name was dropped.
You have to understand the context that the award has been given in. And what is actually means and not what you think it means.
Hope this is of some help, in clarifying what the Times “Man of the Year” actually means
Salaam
